About Dr. Richard Armstrong

Dr. Richard Armstrong has been in provide practice for 32 years and provides expert testimony on behalf of NCMIC. Dr. Armstrong has participated in various research projects that have been published in the Journal of Manipulative & Physiological Therapeutics, the most recent of which was recognized by NCMIC as the most significant peer reviewed chiropractic research published in 2017. He was also the author of the first clinical guideline for the chiropractic treatment of work related injuries in NC. Dr. Armstrong has provided expert review and testimony in malpractice cases for over 15 years. More recently, his malpractice work has resulted in a particular focus on cervical artery dissection. Given the potential sequelae of these ischemic events and their proposed causal relationship to cervical manipulation.​
