Dr. Lynn M. Carlson, DC, DACNB
Sponsored by Carrick Institute for Clinical Neuroscience & Rehabilitation
Dr. Carlson earned an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts, which provided a strong foundation for integrating a background in sports with a passion for neurology and a deep commitment to helping others. Chiropractic played a pivotal role in helping Dr. Carlson perform at an optimal level and remain injury-free during continued competition at the international level as a member of the Women’s National Field Hockey team. After retiring from competitive sports, pursuing a career in chiropractic was a natural next step.
Early in Dr. Carlson's doctoral studies at Life Chiropractic College West, a fascination with the neurological roots of chiropractic care began to develop. She graduated in 1996 and immediately pursued post-doctoral training in clinical neuroscience and chiropractic neurology. After completing the necessary board examinations, Dr. Carlson earned a Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology in 1997.
From 2006 to 2010, Dr. Carlson served on the faculty at Life Chiropractic College West, teaching in the diagnosis department and leading courses in spinal anatomy. In 2009, Dr. Carlsonwas honored with an appointment to the faculty of the Carrick Institute as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation.
Outside of professional practice, Dr. Carlson enjoys walking the trails with two dogs, spending quality time with nearby family, and continuing a personal journey in health and wellness through ongoing education and collaboration with fellow doctors—all with the goal of remaining active, engaged, and vibrant throughout the health span.
